Opposites Attract Outfit of the Day

My over-sized tiger face sweater is probably the most cuddly garment I own. It is super fuzzy and even softer than my softest blanket. I seriously wear it all the time because I absolutely love how the fabric feels against my skin. I love this sweater so much that when I wear it I can't help but hug myself all day like a weirdo. Don't judge. I have a feeling you would do the something if you were in my shoes... I mean sweater. But this did not become my favorite sweater just because it is cuddly soft, it is also extremely versatile. I've successfully worn it with jeans, leggings and a maxi skirt but I really love the way it looks with my faux leather pencil skirt. The sleekness of the classic black pencil skirt dresses up the slouchy sweater.

When pairing separates together it is a great idea to remember the old saying:

 "opposites attract"

Thank you so much for checking out my outfit of the day post!
I love sharing my looks with you guys and I love reading your comments. I've been having some issues with my comments section.  I apologize. Currently it appears that you can only comment on a blog post if you are on the actual blog post page that you are trying to comment on. Meaning, you can not comment on a blog post from the home page. Instead you need to click the title of the blog post and then click the comment button. I know, so annoying. Sorry. I am trying to fix this but haven't been able to figure it out yet. Thank you so much for your patience and continued support. You guys Rock!

Classic Black and White Dress

A-line dresses and skirts are one my favorite silhouettes at the moment. As I get older my style is evolving from the skin tight everything that I wore as a teenager. Nowadays, I prefer the fit and flare style of an A-line dress because I think it is sexy yet still classy. Although this shape has been around since the early 1900's the actual A-line term was coined in 1955 as the name for Christian Dior's Spring Collection. This silhouette has been rather popular ever since except for a brief time period in the 80's. It is safe to say that A-line styles are here to stay... and even if they do go out of style they will just as quickly make a come back. So I don't feel bad about all the A-line dresses and skirts that I've been buying lately. After all, I can hold onto them for years.

Paris & Leopard Print

If you follow me on YouTube then you probably already recognize my new blue suede shoes, PARIS T-shirt and Indigo Blue Celine Mini Luggage Bag! I featured them in my latest mall haul which you can watch here, if you're interested. For this look I pulled everything together with a sexy yet classic leopard print pencil skirt from I'm Haute. This pencil skirt is so versatile. You can easily wear it during the day with a casual loose fitted top such as mine or swap that out for something a bit more body conscious, like a crop top or bustier, for a wild night of turning heads on the town. With it's knee length cut you could probably even top this leopard pencil skirt off with a blazer or cardigan and wear it to the office or to dinner with the parents.

As you can see, my pink hair is slowly fading and I am currently rocking loosely curled cotton candy pink hair. It is quite a change from the super bright magenta when I first dyed it. You can achieve my soft curled style by curling your hair with a 1-inch curling iron and then gently brushing it out. Be sure to curl your hair "out" or away from your face. I don't typically use hairspray but feel free to lightly spritz for extra hold.

I bought these blue suede booties on sale from Nordstrom because of how well they matched my new Celine Mini Luggage bag. Plus, I've been really obsessed with ankle boots lately and thought these were super cute. Together, my blue booties and blue Celine bag add a beautiful pop of color. I can see myself wearing this duo with many more outfits to come.

I scored this boyfriend fit PARIS T-shirt from Foreign Exchange for seven bucks! I think it adds the perfect amount of casual to this chic outfit. Plus it is super comfortable.

Classy pop of color

I was so excited when my Le Tote came this month with this beautiful black and white houndstooth dress! I instantly knew how I would wear it... with my brand new Celine bag (duh) and my matching blue pumps for a classy pop of color. I seriously love this outfit. The fit of the dress is just right with cap sleeves, structured lines and a feminine A-line flare. It came with the black skinny belt and I added a black statement collar necklace for added contrast. The overall feel of this ensemble is simple and chic. You could wear this classic dress just about anywhere. I wore it to the office and to lunch with my sister-in-law.

Indigo Blue Mini Luggage Tote Bag- Celine
Indigo Blue Platform Pumps- I've had for years

Celine Mini Luggage Tote Bag in Indigo Blue

I am the proud new owner of a gorgeous indigo blue Celine bag!! This purse has been on my "keep wishing list" for quite some time now. To my surprise and excitement my amazing husband gave me a card with an "IOU one Celine bag" for Christmas this year! He told me that all the local stores were sold out of the mini luggage and phantom bags so that I would have to wait and do some hunting for the exact Celine bag that I wanted. I called around and found some stores that had one or two Celine Phantom bags but the color options were horrible. Besides, I had my heart set on a Mini Luggage Bag anyways! So, I very impatiently waited.

Celine only has three actual stores in the United States. Some of the big department stores such as Neiman Marcus, Nordstom and Barneys carry Celine but while calling around I found the staff to be rude and the selection to be very slim. Lucky for me, there is a Celine store located on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills which is not too far from my house. I must have called this location ten times between Christmas and New Years Eve. They were waiting on a shipment but had no idea what bags they were getting in or when exactly they were arriving. When Celine Beverly Hills finally received their shipment they just happened to have the exact bag that I wanted! I thought, "This must be a dream," as I raced down there to pick up my new baby!

Honestly, I was a little nervous about the indigo blue. I had always drooled over the cobalt blue but that color was no longer in production. All my worries vanished the moment I saw my Indigo Blue Mini Luggage Bag in person. The blue was vibrant and seriously gorgeous. It was literally love at first sight.

Here are some pictures of my Celine Mini Luggage Bag in Indigo Blue so that you can see all the exquisite detail and beauty close up. I love the structure and versatility of this bag. You can easily dress this bag up or wear it with jeans and a t-shirt. I love that! It is the perfect everyday bag.

This is the back of my Celine bag. The tab on the back has long been a mystery to many but it is said to be a tribute to the original mini luggage bag which featured a very similar tab. After becoming creative director for Celine, Phoebe Philo revamped and modernized the original mini luggage bringing us this simplistic chic handbag that has quickly soared to the top of every fashionista's wishlist!

The bottom of my Celine Mini Luggage Tote Bag features four bronze square shaped feet.

The interior of my Celine Mini Luggage Bag features a super soft micro suede lining with leather trim. The interior of my bag is the same color as the exterior of my bag. Inside you will find a very large central compartment with a zippered pocket on one side and two open pockets on the opposite side.

Inside the interior zippered pocket is a small leather tab with serial numbers imprinted on it. Also, this is where I found all the Celine tags and papers that came with my purse.

Thank you so much for checking out my blog post about my new purse! I just couldn't wait to share.
I have also made a video for my YouTube channel if you would like to see more of my Celine bag.
