My designer shoe collection

Can I share a secret with you?

Ok, it's probably not much of a secret at this point- I LOVE SHOES!! I used to buy so many fast-fashion shoes each year that my closet was over flowing and cluttered with junk. As I have gotten older I realize that quality trumps quantity. In the above video I share my designer shoe collection with you. Designer shoes are made to last. Some of my luxury shoes have been in my collection me for over a decade. I can't say the same for many of my cheap shoes that are lucky to make it through an entire season. My high end shoe collection started off with Louis Vuitton but since then I have added some staples from Chanel, Gucci, Christian Louboutin and Christian Dior.

Here is the list of Designer Shoes as the appear in the haul video: 1. Louis Vuitton Front Row Sneakers 2. Louis Vuitton Wonderland Flat Ranger Boots 3. Louis Vuitton Pink Stellar Sneaker Boots 4. Louis Vuitton Multicolor Monogram Heels 5. Louis Vuitton Rose Pop Wedges 6. Louis Vuitton Rose Pop Ballet Flats 7. Louis Vuitton Denim Monogram Heels 8. Chanel Quilted Boots 9. Chanel Espadrilles 10. Cristian Louboutin Spiked Heels 11. Cristian Louboutin Chunky Snakeskin Heels 12. Cristian Dior Espadrille Wedges 13. Gucci Marmont Sandals 14. Gucci Marmont Chunky Heels Which pair of designer shoes was your favorite?

Red Haute Fringe

I've been quite obsessed with the color red lately. My Red Louis Vuitton Estrella Bag lit this fire and I've been buying red clothing like there's no tomorrow. It is kind of funny because I did the same thing with the color blue when I first got my Celine Mini Luggage bag in indigo blue. Don't worry, I'll be back to normal in a few months... or at least until I purchase a new bag!

The funny thing is that I'm not even carrying my Estrella Bag with this outfit. I instead opted to carry my new Louis Vuitton Pallas wallet like a handheld clutch. This scrumptious cherry red wallet was my anniversary present from my husband this year. It matches my new bag perfectly and was so thoughtful to me because the traditional 3 year wedding anniversary gift is "leather".

These fringe ankle strap heels caught my attention for a few reasons but if we are being totally honest here, I bought them because they are red! I must have purchased five pairs of red heels in the past month! If you don't believe me just wait until you see my future outfit posts littered with red heels.

This outfit to me is trendy yet classy. Fringe has made a major comeback this year and I predict it will be even more popular for the upcoming Fall/Winter. I have already caught myself eyeing a few fringed boots and booties! The other popular trend we see making it's way into this ensemble is the crop top and pencil skirt combo. This trend is very streamlined, sexy and fun. You can see it on just about every celebrity in Hollywood from Kim Kardashian to Beyoncé, Jennifer Lawrence, Crissy Teigan, Rihanna and more!

Urban Mermaid Outfit of the Day

Just a Windy Day in My Blue Chiffon Jumpsuit

I never thought I was the "jumpsuit kind of person". That is, until I layed eyes on this blue beauty! I would often find myself admiring similar one-piece jumpsuits on other girls. I even had several daydreams of wearing something like this. So I decided to jump out of my comfort zone and I landed in this effortlessly chic and extremely comfortable jumpsuit. I think it is safe to say that I can now consider myself as part of the jumpsuit wearing community. YAY!

I chose these matching blue shoes because I didn't want anything to take away from the beauty of this elegant blue chiffon jumpsuit. I have had these heels in my closet for years. I don't wear many blue outfits so they don't get much use. But after wearing them around Hoboken I think I might have to change that.

I absolutely LOVE my Vintage Cartier Sunglasses from 1986! They are a classic aviator shape which never really goes out of style. The best part about these Vintage Cartier Sunglasses is that they are plated in 18k gold and the lenses are heavy duty tinted glass, not that polycarbonate plastic stuff on most glasses today.
Naturally, I have dropped them several times because I am always uncoordinated holding expensive sunglasses or phones. *gasp* Luckily for me, things were made to a higher standard in 1986. My prized Vintage Cartier Sunglasses have even withheld being stepped on without any noticeable damage.

Cupcakes & Colorblock!

These are a few of my favorite things!
This blog post showcases so many things dear to my heart... Cupcakes, Starbucks, A Colorful Dress & Louis Vuttion!

Let's start with the most important, Baked by Melissa Cupcakes! These have got to be the best darn cupcakes ever made! These bite sized pieces of heaven have changed my life for the better! I have hated cake and cupcakes sine I was a child. My mom would always get me a birthday cake so that I could blow out the candles but afterwards I would sit there in disgust as everyone enjoyed the "yucky" dessert. Ever since trying a Baked by Melissa Mini Cupcake in 2010 I have become a Cupcake Addict.

I must admit, I am a bit of a Starbucks Addict as well. What can I say, the Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher is amazing! That is my go to drink in the summertime. And I love how my drink actually matches my outfit!
My colorblock dress and circle sunglasses are from www.ImHaute.com. My classic white pumps are by Qupid and I have had them at least 4 years. I should probably get a new pair of white pumps but these ones are so comfortable that I can't part with them.
My purse is the Mini Alma by Louis Vuitton from their 2013 Valentine's Collection. The color is called Rose Indien which is a pretty dark moroon-pink color. I like that it came with a long strap so that I can carry it on my shoulder or wear it as a cross-body bag.

Blue Pants

Colorful pants are a fun way to add a pop of color to your outfit.

Winter clothing can be so dreary and monochromatic. That is why I love these pants. Blue jeans are so typical but royal blue wide-leg pants are not. They are a bit unexpected and completely chic.  Due to the cold and gloomy weather this time of year I decided to wear fleece lined leggings underneath my pants. The luxurious silky fabric would feel great on my skin in Summer but Winter is all about layers!
One of my all time favorite layering tools for cold weather is my black faux fur vest. We met by fate! I found it in a box of clothing from a storage unit that I bought one day. It still had the tags on (along with most of the clothes) and I instantly fell in love with it! I think I love it even more because it is a size large. Lately, I like my style to have a lot of texture and dimension. This over-sized vest adds both.

I love that pointy shoes are making a come back. I think there is something so elegant about this style. The pointy toe pump is a classic. These black velvet pumps have patent trim and a bow. Totally sophisticated and totally cute!
These bold blue pants may seem hard to pull off but in fact they are quite flattering and versatile. Here are some celebs rockin Wide-Leg Blue Pants as well.

What I'm wearing:

My jewelry, hat & shoes are from I'm Haute.com
Striped Shirt- Wet Seal
Faux Fur Vest- I have seen similar style vests on ebay.

Abstract Printed Pants, Oh My!

This outfit sure attracted a lot of attention!
As soon as I stepped outside my hotel I had a group of girls run up to me and frantically tell me how much they loved my outfit. Then, while I was waiting near Columbus Circle I had three women of various ages come up to me and gush about my look. Needless to say, I felt very over-joyed and fashionable. I like to take risks in fashion and it's the best feeling when it actually works!
The moment I layed eyes on these abstract pants I fell in love! I instantly saw their potential and HAD TO HAVE THEM! I like that the print is not something you would see everyday. The pants are definitely loud, so I spent lots of time in my room trying on different items to see what would work.

My favorite combination was this Sheer Coral Top, Cropped Leather Jacket and Black Spiked Lita Booties. My Rose Pop Louis Vuitton Alma Bag was not my first choice of purses. However, being on vacation I had a limited selection and felt that this looked the best. The long necklace helps to maintain a long silhouette by keeping the eyes looking up and down.
I met my friend for lunch at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. We snacked on appetizers and sipped martinis in the lobby lounge. The food and my pumpkin pie martini were both pretty good but the real reason to go is the view! The lounge is on the 35th floor with huge glass windows over looking Columbus Circle. We didn't have any reservations and got seated instantly. I do recommend calling ahead if you would like to reserve a table next to the window.

Boyfriend Blazer OOTD

I Love New York! There is something so magical about a city that never sleeps. New York is so full of life and hands down one of my favorite places to visit!

Fall in New York is gorgeous! The trees are changing color and the weather is usually perfect for walking around town. The air can have a crisp chill but you don't need to completely bundle up like you would in the Winter. I layered a grey blazer over my cozy turquoise sweater. I actually had to shed my light jacket after walking around Central Park for a few minutes. My white pants are corduroy so they were extra warm and comfy.

Speaking of comfort, I slid some gel cushions from Target into my shoes and I highly recommend it! They made walking all day in heels bearable. To be honest, Most people were NOT wearing heels in the park. I'm a bit of a high-heels addict though... so I've stocked up on gel cushion inserts!

What I'm wearing:
Turquoise Sweater- Express
Grey Blazer- AMI
Grey & Black Distressed Booties- AMI
White Corduroys- TJ Maxx
Skull & Spikes Bracelets- I'm Haute

My First Pair Of Christian Louboutins!

My shoe dreams finally came true! I've been waiting a long time to get my first pair of Loubis and I think these beauties were well worth the wait!

I am normally a true 7.5 in US sizing. I bought these shoes in European size 38. I am obsessed with them! My only complaint is that I have wide feet and they are very narrow. I didn't notice this until after wearing them to dinner though. I will be taking them back to a Christian Louboutin Store to get stretched soon. I love them so much now I can only imagine how much better they will be when my toesies aren't squished!
