Pink Hair Don't Care!

I'm loving my bright pink locks and sultry outfit of the day!

Above you can see the products I used to dye my hair pink. This is my second run with pink hair in less than a year. I did it for my birthday in March and absolutely loved it! The upkeep however, is horrible!! The maintenance for pink hair makes having blonde hair seem like a walk in the park but if you want to try a crazy unnatural color and your job permits this fun loving experiment then by all means you should totally do it! Surprisingly, the commitment involved in dying your hair pink is rather low if you already have light hair. You can simply apply the semi-permanent color of your choice directly to blonde hair, enjoy it for a little while and you can be completely back to blonde in 3-7 washes depending on your hair. Unfortunately, if you have dark hair it is a bit more of a hassle. You will have to first lighten your do and then apply the rainbow color and once it rinses out you are left with processed light hair instead of your natural dark shade. For really dark hair I recommend heading to your trusted hairstylist and letting a professional take care of the lightening process. I have heard way too many horror stories from girls trying to bleach their hair by themselves and ending up with fried or broken off hair. Once a pro brings your dark hair to a very light blonde (this may take more than one appoitment) you can easily apply the pink hair dye (or whichever shade you fancy) at home. I purchased Beyond the Zone Color Jamz in Party Time Pink from Sally's Beauty Supply for $5.99. I used 1.5 bottles and saved the half bottle for touch-ups since the color fades so quickly. Here is a direct link to the pink hair dye I used. In the past I also tried Manic Panic and Ion Color Brilliance. Manic Panic was great but I wasn't a big fan of the Ion Color. I felt like it dried my hair out more than the other products.

Leather & Louboutins Outfit of the Day

My "Party Time Pink" hair has me feeling all sassy! haha. I've had this sexy vegan leather dress hanging in my closet for months now. Something about my new pink hair made me want to wear this bad boy. Oh you know, just another typical day at the I'm Haute office! Oh yea, did I mention that we have a movie theater in our building? Totally random and totally amazing! :) I worked all day like a boss in my killer outfit and at six I decided I should probably take pics to share my new look with you all... I SO forgot that it is pitch black by 5pm now and as soon as I stepped outside with my sunglasses on I realized I didn't need them and that I needed to quickly come up with a Plan B... aka operation impromptu movie theater photoshoot. Oh, and PS- my camera broke so these pics are via my iphone. How do some people take amazing shots on an iphone?! Mine always come out blurry. :-/ Anyways, thanks for checking out my blog post, I hope you like my new hair and my outfit of the day! All shares and comments are greatly appreciated!!

Ok, can we take a second to appreciate this amazing pink purse?! This is my second Christian Louboutin handbag and I still have a crush on it! The outside is silk with intricate gatherings and features gold studded metal trim. The gold chain in removable for a hand-held clutch option and the clasp to open and close the purse is made of two tiny gold stilettos! That is by far my favorite detail of this bag. I also think the red lining is a nice touch and super sexy... matches the bottoms of my sexy spiked heels!

Sunday Brunch Outfit of the Day: Purple Chiffon Dress

Over the weekend hubby and I planned a lovely daytime date for Sunday Brunch at the Four Season's Hotel in Westlake Village. We have been talking about trying their brunch buffet for years and finally made reservations. Obviously I wanted to dress up for the special occasion! I chose this lovely purple chiffon high-low dress with acid washed denim bustier top. However, I made an amateur accessory choice. Avid buffet goers know that tight belts, especially high-waisted belts are a no-no. Oops. All I could think of was how great this silver metal plate belt looked with my silver single-sole heels and matching bracelet but halfway through brunch I definitely was wishing that I had a large purse I could discretely stuff my belt into.
-No Such Luck-

Besides my little belt mishap, I really enjoyed this Sunday Brunch outfit. It fit right in with the elegant atmosphere of the hotel and the beautiful California weather. I also highly recommend Four Season's Brunch! It is comparable in price, selection and quality to any of the best Las Vegas Brunch Buffets. I thoroughly enjoyed everything and was amazed by all the gourmet options. They even had a live jazz band and bottomless champagne.

Blue Chiffon Maxi Dress OOTD

Maxi dresses are my favorite. I could happily wear a maxi dress every single day, they are comfy and chic- two characteristics I hold dear in my personal everyday style. This blue chiffon maxi dress is absolutely drool worthy. The black faux leather trim makes this the perfect summer to fall dress and adds a touch of attitude. I  chose matching faux leather accessories to emphasize the sexy trim of the dress. My favorite detail is obviously the intricate open back, great with up-do's or side swept locks. Everything I'm wearing is available from I'm Haute.com.

Baby I'm a Star: Leather Pencil Skirt Outfit

I shot these outfit pics when I was on vacation in New York. I have a major city crush on New York City. I love watching TV shows or movies that are shot in NYC because the city is just so full of life; bursting with things to do, gorgeous views and amazing culture... and tons of amazing locations to shoot pictures!

Leather fashion is in full effect for Fall & Winter 2013. You'll be seeing the typical must-haves like leather moto jackets, leather boots and purses but the real fashionistas will have unique leather options in their wardrobe repertoire. Designers have really taken leather to a whole new level this season. You will see many more feminine silhouette options to choose from this year like leather A-line dresses, leather peplum tops, leather pants and skirts. Many designers are even using animal friendly vegan leather and faux leather.

My orange leather pencil skirt is not even leather at all. It is a man-made vegan leather and comes with a much lower price tag than real leather. It is available from I'm Haute for $27.99, which I think is a steal for such a statement piece. The look, feel & fit to this vegan leather pencil skirt is top notch. There is a bit of stretch to the skirt which I love because stretch allows items to fit like they were tailored for you. This is not the type of pencil skirt that you wear to the office. This is a pencil skirt that you wear to make a fashion statement and turn heads. The color is the most perfect shade of rust orange, it reminds me of the falling leaves outside.

I wanted to really let the pencil skirt be the focal point of this outfit so I kept my additional pieces, for the most part, solid white. This skirt was practically made for a crop top so I chose this timeless white chiffon and lace number. These items are both made of a luxe fabric in a solid color which helps them compliment each other. I like that just the slightest amount of midriff shows which really highlights the scalloped lace edge of the crop top and the tailored waist finish of the pencil skirt.

For accessories I am wearing my white Betsy Johnson watch that a good friend gave me for my birthday last year. It is my favorite watch that I own. I am carrying my White Multi-Color Monogram Louis Vuitton Courtney Clutch. Classic white pumps finish off my look. I actually need a new pair of white pumps, I've had these ones for three to four years and they've seen better day. They are just so comfortable that I'm reluctant to part with them.

Blue Pants Outfit

Life is too short to wear boring clothes.

These lovely royal blue wide leg pants have been hanging in my closet for quite some time now. They don't get regular wear but they are just too awesome to part with. I bring them out on special days when I'm feeling bold and craving something super chic. Luckily for these bright blue pants I was feeling fashion frisky this morning! My package had come in from Nasty Gal yesterday and this black criss-cross back bodysuit was among the goodies. It seemed like the perfect match for my trusty high-waisted blue pants.

Normally these royal blue pants steal the show but they've never been paired with such a sexy top before. I love how well these pieces mesh together and create a chic but sexy outfit that can be worn just about anywhere. This is a great Friday outfit because you can wear the black blazer all day at work and then ditch it at 5pm for drinks with the girls. Guys love open back styles so hopefully you won't be paying for too many of those cocktails yourself, not that you couldn't but those new Jimmy Choo's aren't gonna buy themselves!
