Throwback Thursday OOTD

Hi lovelies. Sorry I've been a bit M.I.A. Between work, my birthday and house hunting I've been quite a haute mess! I was super excited to share a really neat post with you guys that I shot on my way to Las Vegas for some birthday festivities but somehow the memory card got corrupted and the pictures are lost forever. I'm super sad about it and I have even put the memory card in four different computers hoping that the images would magically pop up. No such luck but while browsing through my laptop I came across these pics that I shot a few months ago with Vince Brosco. Not sure why I never posted them but here you go!

These nude shoes that I'm wearing have quickly turned into one of my favorite pairs of shoes! They seriously go with just about anything and the padded sole is super comfy. I love them. I originally purchased them from Go Jane but they have since sold out. You can fine similar ones here or here.

My black dress and vintage inspired tweed clutch are both from I'm Haute. I wore this purse with my Jovani dress to my 1920's birthday party as well. It is quite versatile and holds more than you would think a tiny little clutch could hold!

I love statement earrings but often times earrings that make a bold impact are so heavy that your ear lobes are throbbing after a few hours. That's not the case with these bad boys! They are made from super lightweight material and I barely feel like I am wearing them. Translation: you can wear them all day/night.

Holiday photo shoot for ImHaute.com

I've been dying to do a photo shoot since I dyed my hair pink. The color is semi-permanent so I knew I only had a short window of opportunity. It has already faded dramatically and is on it's way back to blonde. When Kacey from KCD Photography contacting me about a holiday themed shoot complete with a pink Christmas tree I could not refuse! Wardrobe was provided by I'm Haute. I did my own makeup and Hair By Terrah styled my pink hair! The pictures came out very glamorous, festive and sparkly! I'll be posting more from the shoot as I get them. For my latest updates and behind the scenes follow me on instagram. I'm an insta junkie and post daily!

Blue Chiffon Maxi Dress OOTD

Maxi dresses are my favorite. I could happily wear a maxi dress every single day, they are comfy and chic- two characteristics I hold dear in my personal everyday style. This blue chiffon maxi dress is absolutely drool worthy. The black faux leather trim makes this the perfect summer to fall dress and adds a touch of attitude. I  chose matching faux leather accessories to emphasize the sexy trim of the dress. My favorite detail is obviously the intricate open back, great with up-do's or side swept locks. Everything I'm wearing is available from I'm Haute.com.

Fall Fashion: Trench Coat and Thigh-High Boots

It is finally starting to feel like fall outside- yay! Bring on the fall fashions!

I've been dying to wear my new trench coat from Tart Collections. I really wish you guys could feel the amazing fabric used on this perfect Fall/Winter coat! Sometimes I feel claustrophobic in big bulky coats but I hate being cold so I deal with it. This coat however, is lightweight, super soft and warm. It also has a bit of stretch that allows for easy movement, its waterproof and fits heavenly. I absolutely love all the little details like the exposed stitching, double breasted button design and luxe lining. Trench coats are a classic option for staying warm. This style has been around since the late 1800's and has seen very few changes to the original design, meaning a trench coat is a great investment because it never really goes out of style. I can already tell that this is going to be my new favorite jacket for fall/winter 2013, and probably many years to come

I'm a big fan of layers in fall and winter. I always have a scarf on hand. It is a good idea to keep a scarf in your purse at all times, or at least your car, in case temps drop, winds kick up or you find yourself in a restaurant with the thermostat set to arctic. This black microfiber scarf is actually the first scarf I ever owned. My mom bought it for me from a kiosk in the mall in 2001. My how time flies! I've obviously owned numerous scarves since then but this one is still in my top 3. It is by far my most versatile and warm scarf. It is called an infinity scarf and can be worn countless ways due to it's unique design. Everyone, male or female, should own a nice black scarf.

Majestic Dreams: Unicorn Dress & Flower Crown

My version of boho chic.

This weekend the winds were crazy! I was supposed to go skydiving with my mom on Saturday but the winds were so bad that it got canceled. I was super scared about jumping and actually very relieved that I had at least one more day to live. I figured since it could be my last full day on earth I might as well look cute!

I met up with my mom for breakfast in the valley, it was super windy but almost 90 degrees out! This outfit was perfection. The flower crown (which I make and sell on my site here) kept my locks from flying all over the place and I brought a super light cardigan because when the winds would get to kickin' it was actually pretty chilly. The amazing unicorn dress I'm wearing is my latest obsession! I guess it's not even an actual unicorn but it kinda looks like one and definitely has the same magical vibe of a unicorn. Plus unicorn dress sounds a whole lot better than "magical hornless horse dress"- just sayin.

I got all of my accessories on sale. I found this amazing finger length rhinestone ring on the sale rack at H&M two weeks ago. Everything on sale was buy one get one free- twist my arm! So I got this ring and another finger length ring for a total of $5! I love deals! I got these black cat-eye sunglasses from the sale section as well, via Nasty Gal. I thought the bird embellishments were cool and unique and for $8 I thought they made a great addition to my eye wear collection.

My shoes I've had forever. There used to be this discount shoe store by my house called footsies. You could buy one pair of shoes for $15, three pairs of shoes for $25 or six pairs of shoes for $40. It was a rather addictive store to say the least. Sadly, they've been out of business for quite some time now (can't imagine why with prices so low -sarcasm) but I still have a few jewels that I have hung onto over the years. These strappy white faux snakeskin heels are one of my favorites and I love how they tie in the flower crown and white horse- eh hem... unicorn. ;)
