Motel Rocks White Playsuit

Like I mentioned in a previous post, I haven't been much of a romper or playsuit kinda of person until lately. I feel like this style has come a long way and I find myself more and more attracted to playsuits in chic fabrics.

The Motel Mary Open Back Playsuit in White Geometric Lace is definitely chic. I absolutely love the texture of the fabric they used. Typical french lace would be too sexy for this silhouette and it would also make it difficult to wear during the daytime. As it is, this playsuit is perfect for day to night wear and can easily be dressed up or down given the shoes you decide to wear. Gladiator sandals would make this open back playsuit casual enough for running errands. Throw on stilettos instead and you have yourself a fabulous little ensemble to grab a drink with the girls.
I wore a long necklace because sometimes playsuits can shorten your frame. The long necklace keeps the eye moving in an up and down motion which helps elongate your silhouette.

I wore the only white pair of heels that I had in my suitcase. They are by Quipid and I have had them for years. They are a bit stretched out now but still comfortable. When these shoes were newer I swear I probably could have run a mile in them. Thinking about this outfit now, I would prefer it paired with my nude gladiator sandals that I got from Wet Seal for $4. Nude shoes are fabulous. Even nude sandals help elongate your legs.

The back of this white lace playsuit is the entire reason why I bought it in the first place. I'm a huge fan of open back styles. Showing off your back is extremely sexy and it's not as racy as cleavage spilling out of your top. A good rule of thumb is to only expose one of these head turning body parts at a time. The high neckline keeps this playsuit cute and fashionable.

The Romper that Made Me WANT to Wear a Romper!

Say Hello to the Bradshaw Romper from I'm Haute.
Isn't it marvelous?!

This gorgeous coral chiffon romper has completely changed my outlook on the fashionability of rompers. Until lately, most of the rompers I saw looked like cute but juvenile onesies that babies crawled around in. That vision completely turned me off to all rompers in general. I never even gave them a glance in the store or dreamed that I would one day fall in love with such a garment. That is until I stumbled across the most chic and fashionable romper ever made!

Can you tell I am completely obsessed with this beautiful coral chiffon romper?!
It's so perfect that it doesn't even need much accessorizing. You could easily slip into the Bradshaw Romper, throw on your favorite shoes and go!

I chose to wear matching coral wedges to keep this look cute and playful. These wedges are beyond comfortable! The sole is super squishy and feels great on my feet. I love wearing heels and wedges but the older I get the more I care about comfort, so these coral wedges are a win, win!
I also decided to wear my favorite circle shaped sunglasses. Circle sunglasses have been all the rage this summer and this trend will carry through fall as well. I love the vintage glam that circle sunglasses evoke. I often prefer glasses with metal or tortoise frames because I feel like it less harsh against my light skin tone and blonde hair.
The only jewelry that I am wearing, besides my two rings that I always wear (my wedding ring and pave ring), is my simple gold chain necklace from Chanel with the iconic interlocking C logo pendants dangling from the center. I absolutely love this necklace. It has adjustable length and is just chic and dainty enough to match with everything.

Haute, Haute Haute!!

Little Black Dress in New York City

Every time I visit New York I can’t help but fantasize about Carrie Bradshaw’s
impeccable outfit choices on Sex and the City!

This outfit definitely fueled my Carrie Fever even more.

I tend to wear a lot of color because I feel drab in plain black, but this sassy little black dress is far from drab! The flattering A-line cut silhouette would surely look marvelous on Miss Carrie Bradshaw and just about anyone for that matter. Black is well liked for it's slimming properties while the A-line cut is popular for it's universally flattering fit. The strappy details make this LBD feel modern and sexy. I must say, this is currently my favorite little black dress in my closet.

I kept the classic vibe going from head to toe with Black and White Accessories. I got my black and white Chanel cuff from the Spring 2006 Collection. As you can see, trends may come and go but classic black and white pieces will always be in style. Even my black and white polka dot earrings are practically vintage. I paid $1 for them in downtown LA almost 10 years ago and they are still cute and stylish today! My vegan snakeskin envelope clutch is the Serpentine Clutch from ImHaute.com and my fabulous and super comfy single sole wedges are from Nine West.

Alrighty, now where is Mr. Big?!
