Vintage Vacation Outfit of the Day

The View of New York City from the Hoboken Pier is nothing short of SPECTACULAR!

"Put A Bow On It" Sun Hat, Foreign Exchange Chiffon Blouse, Vintage vacation Wide Leg Pants, Orange Studded Purse from T.J.Maxx, Orange BCBG Wedges

Traveling is one of my most favorite hobbies. I love seeing new places, trying new cuisines and taking hours to pack because I have to try on EVERY outfit before it makes it's way into my suitcase. I'm not quite sure why I have an obsession with trying everything on before I pack it. Half the time I forget what I wanted to wear with what and I end up improvising anyways. I guess that is the fun of living out of a suitcase.

This outfit packed very well. The wide-leg pants didn't even wrinkle and the hat miraculously kept its shape in my luggage. My trick to successfully packing sun hats is to stuff  folded clothes into the head portion and keep the brim flat with clothing packed below and on top of it. I folded the chiffon blouse from foreign exchange into my I'm Haute Sun Hat along with some pairs of socks and I arrived to New York with a crisp and ready to wear sun hat!

I have heard the wide leg pants that I am wearing called by several different names. The way someone refers to these pants really depends on where they are from. An English lady complimented me on my trousers while a New York native said, "Cool palazzo pants." I have also heard them referred to as Beach Pants, Gaucho Pants, Gauze Pants and even Culottes. Basically, all of these fashion terms refer to pants or shorts that are flowy like a skirt. These vintage inspired pants definitely have a similar look and feel to a chic and comfy maxi skirt. So comfy in fact, I wish I had more in my closet!

4th of July Outfit Ideas

Are you ready for 4th of July?

Red, White & Blue can easily be overdone but it can also be very hip, chic, and totally summery! There is a fine line between looking patriotic and and just looking like a circus clown. If you want some inspiration for fashionable 4th of July outfits then you've come to the right place! Whether you’re headed to a picnic, parade, pool party, cook-out or night club I have some trendy looks that are easy to wear and sure to cause fireworks!!

Here are a few of the fabulous outfit that you will find in the YouTube video posted below.
Outfit #1 is perfect for so many 4th of July festivities!! This outfit is cute, comfortable and relaxed. You can confidently wear this patriotic outfit to a 4th of July BBQ or hang out in style while watching a fireworks show! The American Flag backpack is particularly awesome because it allows you to bring all your necessities and then some! Be sure to pack sunscreen, water & a light jacket in case it gets chilly late at night. The studded high-waist cutoff shorts add some edge to this cute outfit and are extremely trendy at the moment. To complete this red, white & blue outfit simply throw on your favorite comfy pair of shoes like converse or some strappy sandals. For a more glammed up approach you can ditch the american flag backpack for a black clutch and slip on some red stilettos.

Outfit #3 is an extremely versatile and chic 4th of July outfit option. All of the pieces in this outfit are equally amazing and make great additions to any wardrobe. When teamed up, you have a practical ensemble that shows off your American pride and fashion sense. Chiffon blouses are a bit sophisticated as well as sexy. This American Flag Print Chiffon Blouse is beyond adorable! You could wear this top with just about any bottom. I decided to pair it with my favorite skinny jeans! These white skinny jeans are high-waisted and have 3 gold buttons that match the gold star shaped studs on the American Flag Chiffon Blouse. This simple outfit is firework worthy with the combination of all the fabulous gold details and accessories.
