I shot this outfit a couple weeks ago at the LA County Fair. I missed the fair last year so I have been planning this day for quite some time. I knew that I had to find the perfect outfit for the occasion. I chose these matching pieces for their carefree vibe that comes from the playful a-line skirt & crop top with a fun chevron print in bold coral. I love chevron print for so many reasons. Chevron print is so versatile, it can feel vintage, chic or playful depending on the garment. This ensemble is obviously meant for the nice summer-like weather we've still been experiencing in So. Cal. but chevron isn't restricted for warm weather. Look for chevron prints in rich hues like burgundy or emerald for a Fall/Winter twist or if you would like to transition your Summer Chevron fashions into fall just layer them with a black moto jacket and dark accessories.
My cousin, Chelsea, met me at the fair as well. I had brought some extra clothes with me and she was nice enough to put on a matching dress from my website so that we could get some cute cousin pics for instagram etc. We felt like little kids again, forced to wear matching outfits that our moms had bought for us... only this time we embraced it. We were like sisters growing up and it was so nice that I got to spend some time with her just being silly at the fair.
