Picking Up Our French Bulldog Puppy

If you guys have followed me for any amount of time then you know that I have a deep love for French Bulldogs. When I first met my husband, almost 9 years ago, he had two French Bulldogs, Daisy & Lucky. They were both from SD Bullies, a local Southern California Breeder specializing in the Bully Breeds. I had never had a dog before and there I was falling in love with TWO! They were awesome companions full of so much love... and gas! If you don't know by now, Frenchies are infamous for farting!

Sadly, Daisy passed away several years ago and Lucky met her on the rainbow bridge in September 2016. I wasn't sure if I would ever be able to love another dog after Lucky's sudden passing. My heart was broken like it had never been broken before. I'm crying now, just thinking about him. He was my shadow, my sound machine when I couldn't sleep, my comfort when I was sick, my best friend, my family.
Anytime my husband would mention getting another dog I would break into tears and not just any tears, I would full on sob! I think that if I didn't have my 1-year-old son I might have waited longer to get another dog but it is important to me that he grows up with a dog so I gave my husband the green light, so to speak, to bring another dog into our home.
My husband was adamant that our next dog be the same breed and from the same breeder as our two previous dogs. We love the French Bulldog breed and we had a great experience with SD Bullies. We chose to get our new Frenchie puppy from SD Bullies for many reasons but mainly because our two previous French Bulldogs were from them and they were both amazing pets with great health and temperament. Also, it has been pretty cool to see SD Bullies grow and gain such notoriety since the first French Bulldog my husband got from them approximately 13 years ago. Sd Bullies is a family owned and operated business with celebrity clients such as Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, Usher, Professional Athletes and top models. Some of their dogs even had a photoshoot with Kate Upton for Harper's Bazaar. I know getting a dog from a breeder can be viewed a bit negatively by some but it was the right choice for our family. Our 1 year old son is already bonding so well with our tiny Frenchie puppy and the puppy is so mellow, tolerant and smart. We are madly in love with him!

Please watch the below video if you wuold like to see us meet our cute little French Bulldog puppy for the first time at his original home in San Diego with SD Bullies. Our tiny French Bulldog puppy was 8 weeks old and so cuddly and cute! We named our Frenchie puppy 'Lincoln the Lilac Frenchie' because his dad's name is Mr. President and the color of Lincoln's coat, while often mistaken for blue french bulldogs, is actually a rare light grey color referred to as Lilac. Hence, Lincoln the Lilac Frenchie.

My Beefcake's First Birthday Burger Smash

The above picture kills me! It is as if my baby boy is in as much disbelief as his mama. How is it even possible that my sweet 8lb 15oz bundle of joy is turning ONE today? I feel like I was still pregnant just days ago. This, without exaggeration, has been the fastest, most rewarding and joyous year of my life! It seemed appropriate that I take pictures to commemorate my sweet little baby boy turning into a courageous and curious one year old.

I thought long and hard about my son's cake smash photoshoot. I probably began imagining how he would look covered in icing and cake long before he approached his first birthday. (OK, OK, I thought about it while I was still pregnant. Don't judge me!) The closer we got to his birthday though, the further my imagination drifted from the traditional cake smash photos. I totally want my little one to have some cake while we sing him the birthday song but since I'm sure we will have plenty of those kinds of pictures from his birthday party I wanted something completely different and unique for his commemorative first birthday photoshoot.

The idea for a burger smash came to me after I saw the adorable taco smash photoshoot that went viral earlier this year. Tacos are one of my favorite foods so those pictures totally resonated with me. I wanted to eat up that adorable baby and those delicious tacos! However, Griffin is not a big fan of Mexican food. (Crazy, right?!) You know what he is obsessed with though? Yep, In N Out Burgers! In N Out is a staple in our household and baby Griffin goes crazy for their cheeseburgers and fries! I knew that stuffing his face with his favorite food would make for some seriously cute first birthday smash photos! I hope you guys agree.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and taking a look at Baby Griffin's First Birthday In-N-Out Burger Smash photos! I hope they brought you as much joy as we had getting messy with cheeseburgers and fries.

You can order the ridiculously cute In-N-Out drink cup onesie here.
The white cake stands are from Home Goods. I added matching red and white striped ribbon from Michael's to them.

Friday Chic

Sometimes it just feels awesome to throw your hair in a pony tail, slip on a sweatshirt and jet out the door! This "Friday Chic" graphic hoodie is perfect for such occasions. It's super cute and I can see it quickly becoming my Friday uniform for fall 2015.

The jeans and hoodie combo was so laid back that it felt only natural to finish it off with my black and gold backpack from Target and my beloved black lambskin Chanel espadrilles. The hoodie really says it all because this outfit, even though totally casual, is effortlessly chic. In my book it is the perfect friday outfit for fall 2015.

I was so thrilled when I finally found these black Chanel espadrilles in my size! I called just about every store in California and they were all on back order. Then I lucked out on my trip to New York last winter when I found them at Bergdorf Goodman's. There was one pair left in my size and I about jumped for joy! There's nothing quite like Chanel and these Chanel espadrilles makes me smile every time I slip them on.

I also have an unhealthy obsession with ripped jeans. I swear 90% of my jeans look like they've been through the shredder. This particular pair I scored from the Joe's Jeans outlet at the Camarillo Premium Outlets. That outlet mall is quite spectacular! We paid $5 for a coupon book which took an additional $40 off these jeans, on top of the in store discounts that already applied! I love designer jeans but I hate paying full retail... this was a win, win!

What I'm Wearing

Grey Friday Chic Hoodie Sweatshirt- Glam Envy
Ripped High-Water Jeans- Joe's Jeans
Black Lambskin Espadrilles- Chanel
Black Backpack with Gold Hardware- Target

A Fall Fashion Dream

I feel like I've fallen into a fluffy white cloud dreamland where I'm wearing a sexy, comfy & affordable fall outfit with my four-legged bestie, Lucky the Frenchie. This complete fall look can be found on AmiClubwear.com. I will put direct links at the bottom for you all!

Fall fashion is sometimes lost on Californians because we don't experience "real" seasons. I personally love the "always sunny" weather and could never imagine living anywhere else. I love to visit places with actual seasons, like New York but I appreciate being able to wear a dress in October, thank you very much! If you are somewhere in the world with typically chilly fall weather you can easily adapt this outfit to suit your needs.

This long sleeved dress is made of super soft cotton and is incredibly comfortable. Being that the material is light weight, I added a faux fur vest for additional warmth. If there is one thing I know about Fall Fashion it is: layers, layers, layers! Did I mention layers? Fall mornings and evenings are typically chilly but that midday sun can be a scorcher, which is why being able to shed or add a layer is so key.

The latest Fall Footwear Trend is cut-out boots and tall gladiator style heels that resemble cutout boots. Both styles require a nice pedicure and are bursting with major wow-factor. I've worn these beige beauties out a few times now and I'm glad that everyone else seems to love them as much as I do. I have received compliments from both men and women. What I love most about these gladiator high heels is that they are exceptionally comfortable. Beauty is pain- but not in this case.

The colors in this fall outfit are soft and muted which adds to it's elegance. Solid colors are very much on-trend lately but can sometimes feel bland. To avoid a routine solid color look there is marbling in the grey dress and faux fur vest. This slight color variation adds texture and dimension for a classy and easy-on-the-eyes finish.

What I'm Wearing

Grey Long Sleeve Dress- AmiClubwear
Faux Fur Vest- AmiClubwear
Beige Gladiator Heels- AmiClubwear

The best part about this outfit is that the entire look was just a little bit over $50! Plus each item will pair well with others and add versatility to your closet.

Kim Kardashian Pencil Skirt

This grey pencil skirt, the shining star of this outfit, has been on my fashion list for quite some time now. I literally jotted down "Kim Kardashian Pencil Skirt" on my wishlist but was having a hard time coming by it. I kept seeing pictures of Kim running around town in these long, fitted and sexy pencil skirts but I couldn't find them anywhere. Finally, I was at the mall and this ruched pencil skirt was in the window! I popped into that Charlotte Russe store so fast and frantically that the sales associate seemed taken back by my enthusiasm. I bought this perfect little pencil skirt instantly, without even trying it on. I left the mall feeling like I had just accomplished something great and I felt even better when I got home and crossed "Kim Kardashian Pencil Skirt" off of my fashion wishlist. Plus, just as I had imagined, it fit like a glove!

If there is one thing I have taken from Kim Kardashian's style it is that simplicity is elegant and timeless. I have been obsessing over all the form fitting pencil skirts and crop top outfits that Kim wears on a regular basis. This clothing combo looks fabulous on all body types and is the sophisticated type of sexy that is suitable for a wide array of age groups. As I get older I struggle with wanting to look sexy yet age appropriate. Kim Kardashian has mastered this.

Kim Kardashian has also inspired me to wear more solid colors. I feel like I've graduated from youthful or even juvenile prints to classic and chic solids. If you take notice, Kim Kardashian doesn't wear a whole lot of prints these days. She's often seen in monochrome from head to toe. While I love a monochromatic outfit, I also love color which is why I had fun with the red details in this look.

As you may know, the cause for my recent red obsession has stemmed from my beautiful new Louis Vuitton Estrella bag. It was love at first sight when I saw this cherry red beauty in the Louis Vuitton boutique. Since then, I have been collecting red shoes and clothing to match.

Red Spaghetti Strap Top- Forever 21
Grey Kim Kardashian Pencil Skirt- Charlotte Russe
Red High Heels- AmiClubwear
Red Estrella Bag- Louis Vuitton

Flannel Shirt & Ripped Jeans

Here is a cute and casual outfit that is perfect for the bi-polar weather as we tradition into fall. One minute the weather feels like summer but as the sun starts to set it becomes all too obvious that warm summer nights are a thing of the past. When that happens, the comfy and cozy flannel shirt hanging from my waist can be worn traditionally to offer warmth to my bare arms.

This transitional outfit would look just as cute with your favorite pair of denim skinny jeans but I opted for my white ripped jeans because they are super stretchy, making them beyond comfortable, and I liked the edgy vibe that they bring to the look.

It's all about the accessories! Here is my beloved new bag from Louis Vuitton, the Estrella NM in Cerise or Cherry Red. My red booties match perfectly. Even though I've had these booties for years and they are a bit scuffed up I just can't bare to let them go. I've been looking for a pair of red booties just as good as these or better but I haven't been able to find anything. Until then, I will keep these old classics.

This outfit is great for running errands around town, shopping or grabbing a quick bite with friends. It is even great for an impromptu date night because it shows that you put thought into your outfit but it isn't too fussy or over-the-top.

What I'm Wearing

Grey Racerback Tank- Qrew
Flannel Shirt- Qrew
White Ripped Jeans- ebay
Cerise Estrella Bag- Louis Vuitton
Submariner Watch- Rolex
Cat-eye Sunglasses- Chanel
Red Ankle Booties- AmiClubwear

Thank you for stopping by!

Fashion Killer

If you google search "Fashion Killer T-shirt" you can find countless online boutiques selling this graphic print t-shirt. I came across it on AliExpress.com but I refuse to buy anything else from that site because half of the items I ordered never arrived and most that arrived were such poor quality that I wouldn't even wear them around the house. This shirt, however, was the exception. The material is super soft and comfy and while I haven't washed it yet, the silk screening seems to be done well.

I originally bought this shirt thinking that it would be fun and cute to wear to the gun range. I could never shoot a living animal but I do enjoy shooting paper targets and sporting clays every once in awhile. (You never know when the zombie apocalypse will hit and you'll need these invaluable skills. lol.) I'm clearly not at the gun range here but I just couldn't wait any longer. When I get new clothes I want to wear them almost instantaneously, it's an intense feeling, and this shirt has been sitting in my closet for months!

I planned on wearing my Fashion Killer T-shirt with ripped jeans and Converse to the gun range but since I couldn't wait any longer I was able to dress things up a bit more for a day around town.

If you subscribe to my YouTube Channel then you've most likely already seen this white beauty in my Chanel Unboxing Video. She is the Chanel Grand Shopping Tote, often referred to as the GST, in white caviar leather with silver hardware. I adore this bag and try to baby it as much as I can. I especially love how the quilting on my purse matches the quilting details down the sides of my pants.

These pointy-toe bow heels are my absolute favorite shoes right now! They are so chic and most importantly, incredibly comfortable. I get quite a bit of compliments on them and can wear them with  so many different outfits.

What I'm Wearing

Fashion Killer T-Shirt- AliExpress.com
Black Quilted Pants- Fashion Nova
White Grand Shopping Tote Bag- Chanel
Black Point Toe Bow Heels- AmiClubwear
Sunglasses- Louis Vuitton

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog! I have some exciting things coming up this month and some more spare time to spend blogging and making videos for my YouTube channel. I appreciate all the love an support.

Red Haute Fringe

I've been quite obsessed with the color red lately. My Red Louis Vuitton Estrella Bag lit this fire and I've been buying red clothing like there's no tomorrow. It is kind of funny because I did the same thing with the color blue when I first got my Celine Mini Luggage bag in indigo blue. Don't worry, I'll be back to normal in a few months... or at least until I purchase a new bag!

The funny thing is that I'm not even carrying my Estrella Bag with this outfit. I instead opted to carry my new Louis Vuitton Pallas wallet like a handheld clutch. This scrumptious cherry red wallet was my anniversary present from my husband this year. It matches my new bag perfectly and was so thoughtful to me because the traditional 3 year wedding anniversary gift is "leather".

These fringe ankle strap heels caught my attention for a few reasons but if we are being totally honest here, I bought them because they are red! I must have purchased five pairs of red heels in the past month! If you don't believe me just wait until you see my future outfit posts littered with red heels.

This outfit to me is trendy yet classy. Fringe has made a major comeback this year and I predict it will be even more popular for the upcoming Fall/Winter. I have already caught myself eyeing a few fringed boots and booties! The other popular trend we see making it's way into this ensemble is the crop top and pencil skirt combo. This trend is very streamlined, sexy and fun. You can see it on just about every celebrity in Hollywood from Kim Kardashian to Beyoncé, Jennifer Lawrence, Crissy Teigan, Rihanna and more!

What I'm Wearing

Red Crop Top- Wet Seal
Black and White Striped Pencil Skirt- Qrew
Red Fringe Heels- AmiClubwear
Black Bangle- Claire's Accessories
Red Pallas Wallet- Louis Vuitton
